I grew up across the street from Lorna and Galen when they were 1st married and stating their family. They had me babysit both Kevin and Kert. i thought Lorna was the prettiest lady with her red hair. She'd set my hair and comb it out and style it for me before I'd go off to high school of a morning. i stayed in touch with her thru the years, visiting her in her gardens. Lovely lady, lovely soul..

Sincere sympathy is extended to Lorna's family and friends - both in Topeka and Florida. I met Lorna as a new Shawnee County Master Gardener about 10 years ago, and had the privilege of working with her at our Woodland Garden for a number of years. Lorna was a lovely, lovely lady dedicated to her family. She always was so much fun to be around, always acting like a lady and looking wonderful, while tackling any project like a work horse. Her friendship was missed when she moved to Florida several years ago. Your family was very lucky to have Lorna at it's head. I know the last few years have been very difficult for all of you. She would want only the good memories to return, and many of us, as friends, enjoyed her warmth and knowledge as well.
Sincerely,
