Luigi John "Lou" Alifano

Luigi "Lou" John Alifano, 78, of Jupiter died Wednesday, Sept. 17. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and lived in Palm Beach County since 1970. He was the owner of Palm Beach Moving and Storage until 1981. He served in the Army during the Korean War. He was heavily involved in charity work, raising money for Kiwanis, The Sons of Italy and The Sierra Club and running a bread route for The Lord's Place. Survivors include a son, Joseph Alifano and wife Debra; two daughters, Angelina Martinsen and husband Pete and Maria Altieri and husband Tony; two sisters, Eva Domino and Antoinette De Piano;eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife of 51 years, Geraldine, in 2007. A Mass was celebrated Monday, Sept. 22 at St. Peter Catholic Church, Jupiter. Burial was in Our Lady Queen of Peace in Royal Palm Beach.
