Michael Allen Capo, 20, passed into the Lord's hands on Sunday, July 30, 2017 at Palm Beach Children's Hospital in West Palm Beach, Florida surrounded by family and friends.
Michael was born in Port Saint Lucie, Florida on September 10, 1996 and lived there his entire life. Michael lived a full life. He had many interests including reading, film study, table tennis, and power lifting. Power lifting was his main interest and passion for the past five years. He was coached and encouraged in the sport by Bill and April Schumaker.
He worked several summers for Music Man Inc. in West Palm Beach where his father worked. He received his high school diploma from Indian River State College's Adult High School where he was inducted into the adult high school honor society. Even though he was battling cancer for eight years he strove to finish his high school degree and achieved that milestone in 2017.
Michael was always a joy to be with throughout his brief life; he befriended many doctors, nurses, and patients in his eight year fight with cancer. We are particularly indebted to the POST Team, Child Life, and all the doctors and nurses for their care and support.
Michael is survived by his parents Enrico Capo and Holley Hodges, His step-parents Jane Capo and Jason Hodges, his siblings Tara and Nathaniel Hodges, his maternal grandparents William Mobley and Judy Mobley, his close cousins Tony Capo and Ann Wells, his Uncle, Vincent Capo and his Aunt, Felippa Lantz.
There will be a graveside service on Sunday August 6th 2017 at 2:00 PM at the Winter Beach Cemetery conducted by Pastor Ray Franklin.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that you consider donations to the American Cancer Society or The Leukemia And Lymphoma Society of America.
Arrangements are under the direction of Strunk Funeral Home, Vero Beach.

Three years has gone by and I often wonder how I’ve made it to this point without you. I miss my friend. I miss our silly inside jokes. I miss going into the kitchen to put away the leftovers after dinner and there would be none because you had eaten it all. I miss cooking large amounts of steaks for you and watching you eat them like a caveman. I miss your hugs and your big smile that always greeted me under that hat. I love you.

It makes my heart happy and proud to see how many lives that Michael touched. God called him home to be healed. Now we must face everyday without him. My heart was saddened but now reading these posts in the guest book makes me feel a little better because of all the love that Michael left behind imprinted on so many.
Holley & Jason, Nathaniel, Tara, Enrico and Jane, I hope these remembrances of Michael lighten your hearts too. You all raised a truly wonderful, loving, respectful young man! Your hearts should be overjoyed by the praises of so many. Let God carry you through the pain. It will take time but each day it will become more bearable. Michael, you will never be forgotten. You fought like a Champ and now you're reaping your Heavenly Reward! You never gave up and the way you carried yourself and helped to make other kids journey a little more bearable, I applaud you. I was lucky to know you and to be a part of your family. Never again will I ever play another game of Busted without seeing your face and the good times we shared.
