Mildred Hudson Obituary

Mildred Russ Hudson, 79, died Aug. 15, 2011, at Indian River Medical Center. She was born in Gifford and lived in Vero Beach. She was a member of Davis Temple Church of God In Christ, where she served as church mother, evangelist and missionary. Survivors include her sons, Bobby Donnell Hudson of Gifford and Allen Pernell Hudson of Washington, D.C.; daughters, Elizabeth Bethel and Victoria D. Hudson, both of Vero Beach; brothers, Sylvester Leroy Russ of Vero Beach and Rafus Russ Jr. of Hyannis, Mass.; sisters, Clara Jackson, Lucille Buckner and Helen Drisdom, all of Vero Beach; 20 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Lewis Hudson; daughters, Frankie Mae Hudson and a baby girl; and sisters, Annie Mae Wilkerson and Teresa Bostic. Services: Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Aug. 19 at Stone Brothers Funeral Chapel. The funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Aug. 20 at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, Vero Beach. Burial will follow at Gifford Cemetery, Gifford. A guestbook is available at www.stonebrothersfuneralhome.com.
