Roy R. Peavy Sr.

Roy R. Peavy Sr., 57, died July 21, 2013, at home. He was born in Cochran, Ga., and moved to Fort Pierce as a child. He graduated from Fort Pierce Central High School Class of 1973. He was employed with Triumph Aircraft for 39 years as a senior aircraft mechanic. Survivors include his wife, Kimberly Peavy of Port St. Lucie; sons, Roy R. Peavy Jr. of Port St. Lucie and Jared B. Peavy Sr. and Jonathon Deon Peavy, both of Fort Pierce; daughter, Sophia Leverne Peavy of Fort Pierce; brothers, Larry Peavy of Fort Pierce and Dewayne Peavy of West Palm Beach; sisters, Jacquelyn Peavy and Johnnie Rose Peavy-Fisher, both of Fort Pierce; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Adam Joseph Peavy; and parents, Pearlie Mae Brimidge and John Peavy Jr. Services: Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. July 26 at Stone Brothers Funeral Home. A funeral service will be at 2:30 p.m. July 27 at Greater Faith 13th Street Church of God in Fort Pierce. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Park.
