Thomas" Tom" Douglas 84 passed away October 30, 2016 Tom was an amazing and beautiful person. He relocated to PSL 25 years ago coming from Somers, N.Y. Tom was born and raised in Pawtucket R.I. February 10, 1932, and lived most of his adult life in New York. He attended St. Raphael Academy and the New England Institute of Mortuary Science as well as served his country as a member of the United States Air Force Special Services Unit during the Korean War. Tom is survived by his "Best Friend" and devoted son Michael, of Jensen Beach, FL for whom he was very proud of and spoke highly of. Along with Michael's fiancé Melanie for whom he was very fond and loving of her commitment to him and Michael. He died very happy knowing that Michael and Melanie were committed to becoming partners shortly. Tom is also survived by his long term companion Madeline Dante now residing in N.Y. Tom is predeceased by his parents Thomas H Douglas Sr. and Helen (Sullivan) along with his wife of 26 year Mary Ellen (Tormey). Tom also leaves behind many friends and happy memories. Along with many nieces and nephews in Ireland. He will be remembered for his selflessness as well as his fundraising and organizational skills.

Funeral Services have been entrusted to All County Funeral and Crematory of 1010 NW Federal Highway Stuart Florida 34994 with a viewing on Thursday November 3rd from 3:30 to 7:30 and a Funeral Mass on Friday, Nov 4th at 11am St Lucie Catholic Church in Port St Lucie. Inurnment will follow at a later date at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Valhalla N.Y. In Lieu of flowers please raise a glass or sing a song and toast the memory of a great friend and human being.
