Valerie Ugenti Obituary

Valerie Ann Ugenti, 76, died July 14, 2008, at her residence. She was born in St. Albans, N.Y., and was a resident of Barefoot Bay and a former resident of Deer Park, N.Y. She was a member of St. Luke's Catholic Church, Sebastian, where she was a Eucharistic Minister, a member of the choir and President of the St. Luke's Ladies Guild; she was a volunteer for the Brevard County Meals On Wheels; and a member of the Spring Chicken Band, Sebastian. Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Frank Ugenti of Barefoot Bay; daughters, Mary Smythe of Achilles, Va., Jane Derenthal of Williamsburg, Va., Valerie Abbate of Southampton, N.Y., Fran Kleese of Pittsville, Md., Grace Scarfo of Kings Park, N.Y., and Margaret Boystak of Barefoot Bay; sons, William Ugenti of Centereach, N.Y., Vito Ugenti of Copake, N.Y., and Frank Ugenti of Coconut Creek; brothers, John Maddock of Palm Gardens, Joe Maddock of North Carolina, the Rev. George Maddock (Capucian Order) of Guam; sister, Eileen Regina of New Hyde Park, N.Y.; 35 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. SERVICES: A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. July 16 at Saint Luke's Catholic Church, Barefoot Bay. Arrangements are by Strunk Funeral Home and Crematory Sebastian.
