VERN BUE Obituary

VERN S. BUE Vern S. Bue of St. Marys, GA, and formerly of Palm City, FL, passed away on March 21, 2013, at Hospice of the Golden Isles in Brunswick, GA, after a long illness. He was born in St. Paul, MN in 1925. He joined the US Navy in early 1943. During WWII he served on a minesweeper and participated in the nvasion of the Marshall Islands, Iwo Jima and Okinawa. After graduating from the University of Minnesota, he joined IBM and spent 31 years in Office Product sales and sales management positions. After retiring from IBM he formed his own consulting business with clients both national and international. While living in Palm Beach County, he was President of United Way, the Urban League and volunteered with many other organizations . Surviving are his wife of 45 years, Gayle; five children, David Bue (Marie), Daniel Bue, Douglas Bue, Duane Bue, and Debra McFarland (Joe) as well as 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildre n. Services will be private. He will be buried at the Jacksonville National Cemetery. If you wish, a memorial donation may be made to the Humane Society of Camden County, 950 S. Grove Blvd., Kingsland, GA 31548 or to Hospice of the Golden Isles, 1692 Glynco Parkway, Brunswick, GA 31525. Allison Memorial Chapel of St. Marys, GA, is in charge of arrangement s. Paid Obituary
