Dennis Kenna hired me as the nurse at OYA in 1997. Everybody worked as a team under Dennis our program manager, along side Wally Blinde our superintendent. It was a challenging job, and we had lots of moments and good times together. I have utmost respect for Mr Kenna. My deepest condolences to his family.

Dennis Kenna, or DK as he was known around the office at the North Coast Youth Correctional Facility as the Deputy Superintendent. What a superb role he played at the facility, always willing to reflect on a situation that looked different after talking with him than it did before the conversation. Pioneering, innovative, and revolutionary was his style of management both with staff and fellow managers as well as the physical aspects of the facility. DK will remain embedded as a part of the early morning coffee clutch at NCYCF sharing his interesting stories of life. RIP DK

Dennis worked at clatsop county and gave me a start at the juvenile department. I was 30 years old and needed a chance and he gave me it. I put in 30 years in the juvenile justice system from that time forward. I worked with some amazing people and all thanks to him. He will be forever missed.
