Donald Buswell Obituary

Donald Wallace Buswell

August 30, 1922 - July 23, 2025

Donald Wallace Buswell (known far and wide as Don) was born on August 30, 1922, in his parent's home in Toledo, Washington. He died in that same home one where he lived most of his life on July 23, 2025; just shy of his 103rd birthday. Service to community is a value he passed on to his sons. He was a flight instructor in WWII; a member of the Toledo School Board; a member of the Toledo Lion's Club; and supported countless community projects.

Don was pre-deceased by Bernice Buswell, his wife of 71 years. He also leaves behind a large extended family including his four sons: Don (Stacey), Carl (Donna), Guy (Rhonda), and Alan (Heidi) all of Toledo. He also leaves 8 grandchildren (CJ, Ryann, Jerad, Leah, Jessica, Theresa, Tessa, Sara) and 10 great grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, August 24th, at Toledo High School. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation in his name to the Toledo Community Foundation or the Toledo Lion's Club.
