CASTLE ROCK - Ethel was born in Castle Rock, WA to Myrtle and James Alger, but she grew up in Silver Lake, WA and attended Toutle Lake Schools.

Ethel was happily married to Robert Janisch for 66 years. They had four children: Darrell, Jeff (spouse: Sheryl), Karen and Carol (spouse: Tony). She had 12 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren whom she loved to spend time with and spoil.

She had many nieces and nephews she cherished. Ethel is proceeded in death by her parents and siblings: Peggy, James and Robert.

Some of Ethels hobbies included bowling, birthday club, traveling with friends and going to the casinos.

The family is having a Celebration of Life on January 20, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Castle Rock, WA.
