Gordon King Obituary

Gordon Lowell King, 65, of Toutle died Sept. 21, 2009, at home.

He was born Dec. 1, 1943, in Sheridan, Wyo., to Raymond and Ina (Anderson) King. The family moved to the local area the following year.

Gordy attended Kelso High School and served two years in the Navy. He worked for Fibre and later as a self-employed handyman. Gordy enjoyed woodworking.

He married Donna Harris in 1966. They had three children before divorcing in 1983.

Gordy is survived by a daughter, April Baskett; two sons and their wives, Jeff and Katie King, and Anthony and Jennifer Harris; five siblings; 10 grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.

A sister, Mavis Ward, preceded him in death in 2008.

A memorial potluck will be held at 6 p.m. today at Castle Rock Sunnyside Grange, 214 West Cowlitz.

Arrangements are by Columbia Funeral Service.

Gordie was always a good friend of mine, all though we only saw eachother occaisonaly. He always gave me a good laugh, I will miss him. My sympathy to all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
