James Brown Obituary
August 18, 1952 - March 25, 2025
James Rondeau Brown, 72, passed away on March 25, 2025 in Longview, WA. He was born in Aberdeen, WA on August 18, 1952 to Lloyd & Shirley Brown. Jim graduated from Mark Morris High School in 1970 and then went on to get his AA Degree from Lower Columbia College and then served his country in the Army for three years.
Jim is survived by his wife of 52 years, Harlene Brown and by their daughter, Vicky Mitchem (Frank) and granddaughter, Vivian. By their son, Matt Brown (Joy) and grandchildren, Isla and Hudson. By his siblings, Greg Brown (Louise), Robbi Stroud (Paul) and Valerie Earls (Joe) and nephews and nieces.
Jim served as a Journeyman Electrician and was a member of Local IBEW 970/48 from 1978 - 2016. He also served as the Worship Director for 30+ years at First Baptist Church Castle Rock. Prior to that he attended Columbia Heights Baptist and was a charter member of East Kelso Baptist Church.
Jim loved the Lord, worship music and getting to share his talent with others, often offering to sing at churches while he traveled for work. He never met a stranger and in his younger years was eager to help those in need.
There will be a Celebration of Life service at First Baptist Church Castle Rock on Saturday, March 29 at 10 a.m.

JimB you are going to be missed. We had a long run together from being my apprentice, working on eleven Hard Hats for Christ projects, being the soloist at my retirement celebration, being a friend and drinking Dr Pepper at McDonald´s on Wednesdays

Jim and I went through school together-from Robert Gray to Mark Morris. He always had a positive and upbeat take on life and truly was one of the nicest people you could meet. May he rest in peace.
