Kathi, I wanted to express my sadness in hearing of Mallory's death. She was an inspiration to me. What a brave, smart, articulated, inquisitive, independent young lady she was. I will always remember her in my heart. You are to be commended on your love and devotion as a mother. You were always at her side helping her through her tough times. She was an Angel and so are you! When Mallory told me we needed to have the Disney channel at the hospital, I asked her to write a letter asking for this to happen. I did ask to have our TV's programmed, on the pediatric unit, to be able to reach several children channels. Congrats to you and Mallory! HUGS to you Kathi. Mallory has reached a more comfortable place.

Bruce and kathi

We were so sorry to hear about your loss. Eddie and I remember when you told us you guys were going to have a baby you both were so happy and from that day on your dreams came true and you had a wonderfull baby girl.

Even though we did not see much of mallory she was always on our minds and in our prayers.

I remember when we would see her she would have to always fill us in on what she was doing in school, or at home. Mallory was always a happy person no matter what was going on in her life.

Just wanted to let you know that you are in our thoughts and our prayers. Remember the good times that you had with mallory and that you will be together again.

love you both

Dear Kathi,

My heart goes out to you. I too have gone thru the heart break of having a precious little girl pass away. The 10th of October was the anniversary of Nikki's death. I know the pain, the loss, and the emptiness you are feeling. There are no words to fill this void. The one thing that helped me, was knowing that she was now no longer in pain, no longer sick, and she was now able to run and play as a normal little girl deserved to. I also knew that she was safely and seucurly craddled in the arms of Jesus. Kathi, I believe with all my heart that one day when I get to heaven, my Nikki will be standing there with arms open waiting for me; and knowing Nikki as I do, she will probably say, " mommy where have you been ?" I also believe your little Mallory will be there waiting for you as well. We both now have very precious jewels awaiting us in heaven. Take time to heal; as long as you need. I am here for you. Love and Prayers, Brenda West

Kathi,

Holding you and your family in prayer. I remember when Mallory was born. I just love the picture of her on her grampa's tractor and the one's in her costumes. What a character. God blessed us with this little angel and she will forever be with anyone who came into her path. She was and always will be a special light in our hearts.

Angels surround you and comfort you as God's will is done.

I knew Miss Mallory from the minute she was born. She took "center stage" in our lives from that moment on. She was beautiful in appearance but the depth of her beauty became more apparent to anyone who knew her. She had a grace to her personality that was far beyond her years. She cared and worried about her friends and family. She loved her family beyond words and could never get enough of them. She so loved her Mom and her Nana. She loved parties, especially birthdays and "party cake." She liked to sing, laugh, and hear stories about family members when they were kids. She enjoyed reading especially the Harry Potter series. She loved life and was always happy. Her challenges with spinal muscular atrophy and many visits to Shriners and Doernbecher Hospital she handled with courage. She was so amazing to me. When I would tell her how Wonderful she was she would look at me puzzled, tilt her head, smile her smile, and say "Sissy you're silly." I've had the pleasure and honor of living next door to Mallory, my darling niece, her entire life. I so miss her. I will hold her in my heart forever. I am comforted in knowing that she had a wonderful life full of love, that now she is with God and that she is free, and that we will eventually be together again for all eternity. I am her Aunt, but she called me her Sissy.
