Roberta Kinberg Obituary

Roberta Flint Kinberg, 85, of Longview passed away Jan. 19, 2008, at home.

She was born May 28, 1922, in Seattle and graduated from the Virginia Mason School of Nursing in Seattle.

Roberta worked as a registered nurse until marrying Richard Otis Kinberg in San Francisco in 1945 and becoming a homemaker. They moved to the local area from Centralia 62 years ago.

Roberta was a past member of Beta Sigma Phi and was an active member in Reach to Recovery for many years. She enjoyed playing golf, bridge, dancing, church quilting, vacations to Hood Canal and boating on the "Bobbie K". She loved traveling to fulfill her "wanderlust" to experience new places.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years at home; two daughters, Annette Kinberg of Chandler, Ariz., and Nancy Christensen and her husband, Grant of Bremerton; a son, Wayne R. Kinberg of Federal Way; three grandchildren, Cpl. Richard O. Kinberg serving in Iraq and Sarah and Nicole Christensen, both of Bremerton; and a brother, Gordon Flint of Prosser, Wash.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Columbia Funeral Service.
