Adele J. (Novak) Dziokonski, 94

CLINTON - Adele J. (Novak) Dziokonski, 94, died Sunday, August 27, 2017 in Oakdale Nursing Center, West Boylston, after an illness. Her husband of 56 years, Walter J. Dziokonski, died in 2003.

She leaves two sons: Walter R. Dziokonski, of Worcester, and Brian L. Dziokonski, and his wife, Maria Clarice, of Clinton; a daughter, Karen A. Blodgett, wife of the late Thomas, of Clinton; seven grandchildren: Daniel and Nicholas Blodgett, Anika Pavis, Krista Robichaud, Lisa Dziokonski, Natasha Blouin, and Brandon Dziokonski; one great-grandchild, Chloe; a brother, Emil L. Novak and his wife, Ann, of Wilmington; nieces and nephews. Two brothers, Stanley J. Novak, and Louis P. Novak, predeceased her.

Adele was born and raised in Clinton, daughter of John and Catherine (Rys) Novak. She was a graduate of Clinton High School, Class of 1940.

For 34 years, Adele worked as an Assembler at Ray-O-Vac, formerly of Clinton, retiring in 1978.

She was a member of St. John the Guardian of Our Lady Parish and the former Our Lady of Jasna Gora Church. In their younger years, Adele and her husband, Walter, were fantastic dancers, often found at the many dances held in town. She was an avid shopper, and bargain hunter, whose greatest joy was spending time entertaining and playing with her grandchildren.

Adele's funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at 12:00 Noon in the McNally & Watson Funeral Home, 304 Church St. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Lancaster. Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours at the funeral home on Wednesday morning, from 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. For those who wish, the family suggests that donations be made to the Disabled American Veterans, Massachusetts State House, Room 546, Boston, MA 02113.
