Rod , Corey and Family,
My most profound sympathies on the passing of your beloved father and grandfather. I will always remember seeing him perform with his big band and daughter Sharyn singing - drinking hot chocolate outside to see him perform. I still today -have one of the tapes he made of his music and how pleased he was that a younger generation was still interested in that type of music. How enjoyable it was at family gatherings with him educating me -on the plight of the Armenian:/ Syrian people and how he loved to educate anyone in ears length of the history of his ancestors . A beautiful man - and like all musicians his music and soul will live on forever in my heart and memories and my families.
God Bless all of you and our thoughts and prayers are with you always.

The Jermakian family is so sorry to hear of Afie's passing. He was always an inspiration to me and we always shared notes on our saxophone experiences. I will never forget playing in his big band while briefly living in Worcester in the 80's. He, along with all the others that have passed from his generation, will be sorely missed but never forgotten. Life goes on and I hope to be in his band again when joining him in his new life.
