It is February 10, 2021 and I just learned of Allen's passing as I was searching on the Internet for his phone number. I hadn't spoken to him for more than a year and I had a fond ham radio recollection that I wanted to share with him.
To Natalie, with whom my wife and I enjoyed a delightful luncheon in "far away" Taunton, and to Allen's children and grandchildren, whom Allen held in the highest affection, I offer my sympathy at the loss of a fine fellow, a great man with a quiet manner, possessing a subtle force for good.
Surely you will have warm memories of Allen, my Masonic brother and fellow ham operator, forever.
