Brian was always a great motivator for us on the cross-country team. One of the nicest guys I knew at that school. Always knew how to cut a bad joke too, haha. This is a huge loss for all who ran with him and the class of 2008

Dear Tagney family,

I know your cousin Bob who brings me Eucharist from D
St. John's. I've been very disabled since 28 every day in pain and alone. Please let me say just seeing his face shows an angelic character. It may seem an acciicent and the pain is awful but I guess Heaven needed him and he may have completed his purpose even this young.

I recall when my 16 year old second cousin died in vehicle accident and how hard it is to bury a young person. Please accept my condolences. Knowing bob Tangney I'm sure this is a very fine family. God bless and comfort you all. Pentecost and Memorial Day will hold his memory eternally. Rest in peace Brian

Such a terrible loss of a wonderful young man. Although I never met Brian, I knew of him from my sons Brian and Michael who were good friends with him at Doherty High. My Brian also attended QCC with him as they were both enrolled in the health program and would have graduated together. I heard only good things about him and how good natured and happy he was and that he always made everybody laugh. I was at the DCU for the QCC graduation Thursday night and I hope Brian was looking down when they called his name for his certificate and I hope he saw the standing ovation he received from not only the entire graduating class but everybody who was in attendance. It was overwhelmingly heartwarming. My thoughts and prayers go out to family and friends of Brian. My deepest sympathy to all of you for your loss. Paula Ellis

Brian was one of the nicest guys I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. We went to middle and high school together and any interaction with him during those times was always a good one.

Brian will forever live on in the hearts of so many people. He helped change lives and make people better. <3

My prayers and thoughts go out to the Tangney family of Brian Tangney. I have never met Brian in my life until my first driving lesson two days before he passed. It was the best lesson I could have asked for. We each got to have a great connection with each other talking about sports to driving questions and even listening to some tunes in the car. He was very easy to talk to and was a very fun guy to make you feel safe behind the wheel. He and I talked to each other like we have known one another for years. He was an outstanding instructor to me and taught me things I wasn't ready for yet like parallel parking and he taught me in 3 steps and I was amazed how easy it was. He did mention to me of his personal life and how he loved to work in the respiratory field and play guitar. He mentioned his true love and how much of their life they would spend together but was cut short. I am never going to forget this man I just want to thank him for teaching me everything he knows and whenever I step into a driving school car I know he will always be at my side. Thank You Brian you were a great inspiration to me and others. Thank you again you will be dearly missed.
