Carol A. (Lassey) Chilton

NEW BRAINTREE - Carol A. (Lassey) Chilton, celebrated her 75th birthday on July 2nd and entered into eternal life on May 3rd 2020 unexpectedly after a strong and unwavering battle with her illness. Carol is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Richard J. Chilton; her son Richard S. Chilton and his wife Lynda J. of New Braintree; two granddaughters, Jessica B. and Rebecca A. Chilton; sister, Wendy J. Chaiken and her husband, Scott H. of Ann Arbor, MI; brother, Jeffery P. Lassey and his wife, Lynne of Worcester, sister-in-law, Cindy Lassey of North Attleboro and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents John E. and Marjorie A. Lassey and her brother, John S. Lassey. Carol was born in Worcester and attended South High School. She took great pride in working for many years in the customer service department at Norton Company in Worcester where she made many friends across the country, retiring in 2005. She was a devoted mother and wife. She was an incredible role model and grandmother with a big heart who loved to spend time with her family, trips to Hampton Beach, Brown's Lobster Pound, and Theresa's Italian Kitchen. She was an avid animal lover. She also enjoyed knitting, sewing, crafting and cooking, especially her famous potato salad and chocolate chip cookies. She most recently attended Christ Memorial Church in North Brookfield and was a former member of St. Matthews Episcopal church in Worcester. She will be greatly missed. Funeral services and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Second Chance Animal Shelter, 372 N Main St, North Brookfield, MA 01535. Arrangements are under the care of Pillsbury Funeral Home 44 Gilbert St. North Brookfield.
