Dear John and Family,
I worked with Carol at UMass, as well as attended many services at St. Johns with you and Carol. Carol was such an amazing and wonderful lady who will be missed by those who were fortunate to know her. She was an inspiration to me after I lost my job at UMass and was unemployed for almost two years. She said to me, "Denise, come to the St. Francis Novena." St. Francis is so powerful, that you will have a job soon. I did attend the Novena, and I did have a new job before the Novena ended. I thank St. Francis and Carol in March every year that I am still gainfully employed. Carol, your Angels are definitely there to greet you. Rest in peace my dear friend! I will always remember you and your smile!
My thoughts and prayers are with the entire Santa Maria and James families during this difficult time.
Love,

Christine, George and Alex Link

John, Mrs. James and John and Carol's entire family, my thoughts and prayers are with you all during this very difficult time. I worked with Carol in the office of Gastroenterology until she retired and I can tell you, when we could steal time to talk, she talked about each and every one of you with such love and joy. She shared stories, photos, and many beautiful emotions of so many of your times together as a family. And she was also a good friend who was there through some of my toughest moments as well. She was an inspiration to me (I always thought, "I want to be the kind of mother and grandmother she is") and a reflection of what true happiness looks like. You will be sadly missed, Carol, and never forgotten.I know the Angels were there to personally accompany you home.
