WEST BOYLSTON - Cecily Ann (Murphy) Walsh of West Boylston, formerly of Worcester and Holden, passed away peacefully Saturday, February 20, 2016.

Cecily was the wife of John F. Walsh, Jr., who passed away in 2009. She is survived by her six children: John F. Walsh III and his wife, Keri; Christine Nicholson, her husband, Patrick, and their children Robert, Kelsey, Erik and William; William Walsh, his wife Renee, and their children Jessica and Connor; Dennis his wife Michelle, and their children Nicole and Danielle; Tara Gouin, her husband Keith, their children Kimberlee and Jennifer, and granddaughter Leah; Kerry Owens, her husband Vincent, and their children Patrick and Erin; granddaughters Kathleen, Colleen and Kerry Walsh; Sandra Walsh; brother-in-law Thomas J. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, a woman of sincere kindness and compassion. A longtime member of St. Mary's Church in Jefferson and Our Lady of Good Counsel in West Boylston, Cecily was an embodiment of her strong Catholic faith, always putting the needs of others before her own. Walsh, Jr. She took great pride in the various positions she held over the years, particularly her time at Assumption College.

We heard of Cecily death today through a letter. Peg Head has fond memories of the Golden Girls getting together for lunch years ago, before she moved to the cape.Peg now 91 lives with her son Joseph in Littleton, N.H. She was trying to sell her home down the Cape when Joe and I stopped by for a visit. It was nice to hear stories of her younger years, she was so proud of all her kids. You all are in our prayers.Joe and Kathy Head
