Dear James and Susan,
I have many fond memories of times spent at Grampy Mel's and Grammy Bea's home. Times just stopping by for a visit and sitting at their kitchen table eating cookies and talking, listening to Mel's jokes, watching the birds and squirrels from the kitchen window. We spent many Christmas days at their home and those are some of my fondest childhood memories. I admired that Mel and Bea kept so active and really enjoyed their travels together, they always had stories to share. My grandmother told me that meeting and spending time with people younger than themselves, kept them young.
I plan on getting to Nova Scotia someday, to see where they were born.
God Bless,
Susan Casey and daughter Rachel
