I will miss my Aunt deeply. For many years my mother and I would visit Aunt Clara at her home in Florida. As a child and young adult I visited her with my sister. Even though she lived far away we were always close. She was a special part of our family. I am glad that she got to live with us these past few years. It brought us even closer together as family and I have so many memories to keep with me. She was a loving, caring women who I will miss very much.

I am deeply touched to see that friends have shared their memories of my Aunt Clara here in this guest book. She was such a special talented lady and our family was blessed to have her in our lives. To read how she touched you life is a wonderful way to celebrate her life. Thank you so much for sharing. Clara raised my mom Nancy Stevens after their mother died. I felt grateful she was there for my mother when she was a child. They remained close all their lives. What amazed me about Aunt Clara was that she stayed so close to all her friends from her childhood till her passing. She cared about people and knew how to be a friend. She wrote letters, traveled to visit or made phone calls to stay close. I will miss her beautifully drawn cards, her conversations and the light in her eyes when she was with my children (especially Kody).

Please accept my deepest sympathies. I grew up knowing and loving Clara. My mother, Kay (Kohlstrom) Kendrick and Clara were best friends from childhood on Bailey road in Holden. I would stay overnight at her apartment over the Davis farm house in Auburn as well as visit her at the Rose Grey salon. My mother used to always laugh when Clara would massage my scalp and put me right to sleep. I will miss her but I still have the many special memories of her.
