Cornelius Robinson

Cornelius Robinson 1939-2012 Resident of Richmond Cornelius Robinson died Nov. 1, 2012. He was born in Okmulgee, Oklahoma on June 20, 1939, to Rufus and Comilla Robinson. Cornelius grew up in Richmond, graduating from Richmond Union High School in 1957 . After graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps., and served for three years. He had various jobs and was a tax preparer for more than 30 years. Mr. Robinson is survived by his children, Cornel Robinson of Sacramento, Kenneth Robinson of South Carolina, Carl Edington of Fairfield, and LaTanya Robinson of San Leandro; siblings Gregory Robinson of Fontana, David Robinson of Antioch, Verdia Mae Clayton of Fresno, Carmen Robinson of Richmond, Charline Price of Vallejo, and Jacqueline Douglas of Fairfield ; and 14 grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Rufus and Comilla Robinson, daughter Demitrea Foster, and brother Joseph Robinson. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Nov. 13, 2012, at Claffey & Rota Funeral Home, 1975 Main St, Napa, CA. Burial will take place at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon.
