Elizabeth H. Robinson, 99, of Mendota, passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at her home. She was born February 23, 1927, in Mendota, the daughter of Henry and Lillian (Herman) Kerchner. She married Edmund Robinson Sr. on May 24, 1947, in Paducah, KY.
Elizabeth was known for her crocheting and cross-stitching. She made a blanket for everyone in the family. She enjoyed reading and playing bingo every Wednesday. Family was of the utmost importance to Elizabeth, especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
Elizabeth is survived by her children, Geraldine Fisher of Mendota, Sue King of Mendota, Nancy Lahman of Dixon, Debi (Lonnie) McKee of Dixon, David Robinson of Earlville, and Mark (Jennifer) Robinson of Mendota; 17 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 27 great-great grandchildren.
Elizabeth is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edmund Robinson Sr.; sons, James and Edmund Jr.; daughter-in-law, Kathie Robinson; sons-in-law, James King and Larry Lahman; granddaughter-in-law, Theresa Adams; and 6 sisters; and 2 brothers.
Visitation will be from 4-7 P.M. on Monday, March 2, 2026, at the Horner-Merritt Funeral Home, 800 Monroe St. in Mendota.
The funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at St. John's Lutheran Church, 607 10th Ave. in Mendota with Pastor Elise Rothfusz officiating. Interment will follow in Restland Cemetery in Mendota. Contributions in Elizabeth's name may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church or Mendota Area Senior Services.
