Leslie Robinson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Bevis Funeral Home - Tallahassee on Mar. 30, 2026.
Leslie Joan Robinson, of Tallahassee, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 1st, 1941, in St. Augustine, Florida. Leslie Joan, one of six children, graduated in 1959 from Bay High School in Panama City, Florida. She met her husband, John Wayne Robinson in Pensacola, Florida where she worked as a cosmetologist. They were married on April 11th, 1968, and had three children: Eric, Barry, and Vickie. Leslie Joan was a gentle and loving mother who often prioritized her family and friends above herself.

She is proceeded in death by her parents Beneva and Leslie McClellan, her husband John Wayne Robinson, her siblings Jack Stanley, Ann Stanley, Jane McClellan Adams, and her great granddaughter Ila Quinn Coppock.

Leslie Joan is survived by her sister Martha Mason, brother Doug McClellan and their respective spouses Butch Mason and Diana McQuagge. She is also survived by her three children, Eric Lee Robinson, Barry Wayne Robinson, Vickie René Robinson and her husband Michael Cragin Milnes, grandchildren, Hannah Noel Rediger and her husband Chase Mathew Rediger, Hunter Robinson, and her great grandson, Darwin Wesley Coppock.

She found her late-in-life love Air Force veteran Donald "Mac" Wilson of Tallahassee, Florida when she asked him to dance at a VFW event in 2011. They spent 15 wonderful years traveling the world, attending her beloved Florida State baseball games, and relaxing beach side.

Leslie Joan would often reflect on the many cherished friendships cultivated over her lifetime. Her friendships provided her support through life's challenges.

In lieu of flowers, Leslie Joan requested donations be made to Big Bend Hospice (https://bigbendhospice.org/) who aided in her peaceful transition, OR donations can be made to the National Urea Cycle Disorders Foundation (https://nucdf.org/) to help those like her great granddaughter Ila.

Jessie Hill of Bevis Funeral Home (850-385-2193 or www.bevisfh.com) is assisting the Robinson family with their arrangements.
