Daniel Carlson Obituary
He leaves 2 sons, Daniel M. Carlson, Jr. of Brimfield, Matt J. Carlson of Charlton, 1 daughter; Heather M. Carlson of Charlton; his mother, Joyce (Lyford) Carlson of Charlton; 2 grandchildren, Kody and Kristina Carlson; 2 brothers, David Carlson and his wife Celeste of Charlton, and Richard Carlson of SanFrancisco, CA; 3 sisters, Diane wife of John Appleton, Brenda Carlson, and Debbie wife of James Lawrence all of Charlton, and several nieces and nephews. He also leaves his former wife, Sharon M. (McKinstry) Carlson of Charlton. He was predeceased by a sister, Linda Anderson,and a niece, Becky Carlson.
Dan was born in Milo, Maine son of the late Edward Carlson. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War Era. Dan worked all his life in the construction business and most recently worked for Mirra Construction in Georgetown. He enjoyed ice fishing, hunting, cars, motorcycles, sports, napping, pig roasts, and work.
CALLING HOURS for Dan will be SUNDAY, October 4, 2009 from 5 to 8 PM at the ROBERT J. MILLER-CHARLTON FUNERAL HOME, 175 Old Worcester Rd. The FUNERAL SERVICE will be MONDAY, October 5, 2009 at 10 AM in the funeral home.
Burial will be at a later date in West Ridge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Beacon of Hope, P.O. Box 172, Millbury, MA. 01527.

Heather My thoughts & prayers go out to you and your family during this differcult time.I know just how you feel, I lost my dad almost a year ago on the 16th of Oct. Be strong, but cry if you need to, don't hold in your tears it's part of the grieving process.Remember the good times with a smile but remember how sick he was and is not suffering anymore. You and I have an angel watching over us and his name is.....DADDY.
