Daniel McDonald Obituary
southbridge - Daniel McDonald, 45, of Elm St., died Saturday, March 24, 2012 at UMASS University Campus. He leaves 2 sons Devin McDonald of Sturbridge, Kasey Jones of Southbridge, a daughter Alyssa McDonald of Southbridge, a brother David McDonald and his wife Debra of Brookfield, his sisters Kathryn Martiros and her husband Michael of Leicester, Karen Tremblay and her husband Dennis of Dudley, his former wife with whom he remained friends with April (Corriveau) McDonald of Sturbridge, nephews and nieces James, Matthew, Erica, Stephanie, Jillian, Jessica and his step-father Gabe LaFleche of Southbridge and his extended family at Hyde Tools.
He was born in Southbridge the son of the late Daniel A. McDonald Sr and Gloria (Renaud) McDonald-LeFleche and lived in the area all his life.
He graduated from Southbridge High School in 1984.
Dan was a team coordinator at Hyde Tools where he worked for over 25 years.
He was an avid fisherman, Red Sox and Patriots fan but most of all he enjoyed his children.
The family would like to thank UMASS and the New England Organ Bank for their kindness and support during a trying time in his family's life.
Dan's calling hours are 4:00PM to 7:00PM, Friday, March 30, in the Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy St. Southbridge. A service will take place at 7:15PM in the funeral home. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Daniel A. McDonald Jr. Memorial Fund, C/O Webster Five Cents Savings Bank, 208 West Main St, Dudley, MA. 01571.

With great sadness and a heavy heart my deepest sympathies go to all of Daniels children, family and friends. He was a great man, wonderful father who had a heart of gold. He loved his children more than anything. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you. He will be greatly missed.

I am so saddened to hear of the loss of such a wonderful man. Danny & I were together in the late 80s and I loved him dearly. It seems like a lifetime ago. He did everything with his whole heart...never halfway, and his family meant so much to him...his mom, his beautiful sisters and brother David. His smile would light up a room. This world has suffered a tragic loss and three children now have an angel for their Dad. It is hard to understand it...there is no way. My deepest sympathies to all who were blessed to have known him.

I never got to know Danny when I worked at Hyde Tools,but he always seemed like a nice guy and very good-looking.My condolences to family and friends-I'm deeply sorry!

I didn't know Dan as well as so many others did, but he was a great guy, always willing to help, always with a smile on his face. Dan made me feel welcome at Hyde and I miss him already.

Words can't really express how sorry we are about Danny's passing. He's worked with my family at Hydes forever but was a friend of ours as well. He was a quiet, gentle man, who loved his children more than anything in the world. May you R.I.P. - you may be gone but will NEVER be forgotten!! <3

You were way too young to leave. I remember when we were kids playing together at family gatherings with the rest of the cousins, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, everybody. Always loved, never forgotten.

To the family & close friends of Danny....I only learned of Danny's passing a couple days ago. Honestly I was shocked, saddened.....and yes angry! It's been a quite a few years, but Danny worked for me many years at Hyde (back in the 90's) and he was a wonderful family guy, had a great sense of humor & one very hard working man. My deepest condolences to the family. I was honored to work with Dan for the past 25 years at Hyde. He was very attentive to his job, and a great asset for Hyde to have. His shoes will be hard to fill. He would help anyone out who needed it putting his needs second. I will truly miss his smile. Rest in peace Dan.
