Daniel Rich Obituary
CLINTON/STERLING - Daniel A. Rich, 52, died Sunday, February 24, 2019, in Leominster Hospital, unexpectedly, after falling ill the day before.
He leaves his mother, Wilma M. (Campbell) Rich, of Clinton; his brother and best friend, Brian S. Rich, and his wife, Dolores, and their son, Matthew, of Sterling, with whom he lived; three sisters: Sherry L. Charron of Texas, Deborah J. Trautner and her husband, James, and Judy E. Valley, and her husband, John, all of Clinton; several other nieces and nephews; and many friends. He was predeceased by his brother, James V. Rich, who died in 2017.
Danny was born and raised in Clinton, son of the late Harold D. "Ace" Rich, Jr. He attended local schools.
For several years until the time of his death, Danny worked as a painter for Emerson Painting. Previously, he worked as a self-employed painting contractor, and prior to that, was a long-time employee of the former E. T. Mortimer Painting, Inc.
Danny loved to hunt and fish; he was a car and motorcycle enthusiast, and enjoyed hanging out with friends and family, especially his nephew, Matthew. His kind heart and mischievous smile will never be forgotten, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure to know him.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours for Danny at the McNally & Watson Funeral Home, 304 Church St., Clinton, on Friday, March 1, 2019, from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Funeral services and burial in St. John's Cemetery, Lancaster, are private. In lieu of flowers, the Rich family suggests that memorial donations be made in memory of Danny, to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284.

My condolonces to you all Rich family. So sad with my brother passing on and he will never be forgotten!. Like papo said back in the 80s we had great times in Breakdancing especially practiceing at Danny house were we all became family and wonderful treasured memories that will never be forgotten. Thank you Rich family for accepting this rican as your friend and brother. I will forever be grateful to you all especially my brother Danny!. Brian i pray that God give all of you strength and more unity to all of the family and that everyone never stop talking about our brother danny on how a good person he was and brother and uncle and son!. My deepest heartfelt condolences go out to the entire Rich family. I am at a total loss for words after finding out of Danny's sudden passing.
Danny was someone who I could genuinely call a good friend for over 30 years. I have a lot of good memories with you my friend all the way back to our break dancing days in the early 80's, you were one of a kind and I will cherish all of the memories. Gone way too soon . It was a pleasure to have known you for all these years and I want to thank you for all the memories.

My heart is heavy for the Rich family as they mourn the loss of their sweet Danny. Growing up on the Lancaster-Clinton line, Danny was easy to befriend and became part of many special childhood memories for me. I would run into him in from time to time in our later years where wed reminisce about the early 80s and the weirdly natural breakdancing abilities of he and his brother Brian. I cant hear Planet Rock without thinking of you spinning on cardboard, Danny - would always bring us to a belly laugh. He was the coolest of b-boys and sweetest of old friends. We lost a good one. A sad occasion for us all..... This man has brought more sunshine and laughter into more lives than he ever really knew. He will always hold a special place in my heart. Iam still I shock over one of my best friends ever Jimmy rich and now his little brother and another one of my best friends, Danny has gone to be with his brother. I'm very certain that i can hear them laughing all the time as we all did every single time we got together
