Danielle Richmond Obituary
MILLBURY - Danielle L. Richmond, 22, died Friday, Aug. 4th from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.
She leaves her mother, Gina T. Richmond-Finegan and her husband, Michael Finegan, her father, Robert A. Richmond and his wife, Rebecca Lewis-Richmond and a brother, Steven Richmond all of Millbury; her maternal grandmother, Rosalie Kubiak of Millbury; paternal grandmother, Marion Richmond of Winthrop, ME. She also leaves her family of many cousins, aunts, uncles and her many friends, whom she loved. She is predeceased by her grandfathers, Gennaro Cirillo and Robert F. Richmond.
Danielle graduated from Worcester State University in May. While attending school she also held a full-time position at Nordstrom in Natick. She was always hard working, very outgoing and had many goals and dreams for her future. She was also an artist and created beautiful artwork. She loved to laugh and was light-hearted. Her beautiful face and smile was that of a delicate flower.
Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 8th at Mulhane Home for Funerals 45 N. Main St. in Millbury and a funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 9th in St. Brigid Church, 59 N. Dear Richmond-Finegan & Richmond family, I am so sorry for the loss of your beautiful daughter. I teach accounting at Worcester State University and Danielle was a student in two of my classes. I am also an adviser to her friend Kate at WSU. I would often talk with Danielle and Kate about their future plans. Danielle was such an impressive young woman and I just don't have the words to say how heartbroken I am for all of you. I will sincerely miss her beautiful smile. I was one of Danielle's professors at Worcester State this past spring semester. She was a wonderful student. Always happy, always smiling, and with such a promising future. I was deeply shocked an saddened to learn of her passing. May she rest in God's loving arms.

Although I did not know Danielle, I am a mom of a beautiful 22 year old daughter myself and my heart is heavy with sadness imagining the pain you are all in. Praying for strength for you all as you deal with this unspeakable loss.

Ben, Doreen and I were very fortunate to know Danielle for many years and enjoyed her wonderful smile, sense of humor and delightful personality! She would always greet us with an enthusiastic smile and would not hesitate to engage in the activities at hand! To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,

Our hearts are heavy and broken. No words can express the sorrow that Amanda, Sean, and I feel for your family's loss. Danielle was a beautiful, bubbly, sweet young woman. I worked with Danielle at price chopper for many years. We instantly bonded because we both attended MHS. I loved working with her as her smile and laugh made some miserable shifts bearable.
