Danny Jack Obituary

Danny Edward Jack

Millbury - Danny Edward Jack, 72, of Millbury, passed away unexpectedly on March 19, 2021 in Saint Vincent Hospital.

Danny was born in New Mexico, son of the late Roy E. Jack and Doris (Jean) Gibson. Danny served his country proudly in the United States Army Security Agency during the Vietnam war and later earned his Business degree from Clark University. Danny worked as a warehouse manager at TJX Corp. for 29 years before retiring. He later worked at the Showcase Cinemas in Millbury.

Danny is survived by his wife of 45 years, Ann Marie (Rheaume) Jack; two daughters, Jennifer Jack and her fiancé, Stephen Rainville of Northbridge and Stephanie St. Jacques and her husband Nathan of Auburn; three sisters, Joyce Goodson, Debbie Clayton, and Lois Lytsel; two grandchildren, Emilina & Gage; a sister-In-law Carol Watterson and her husband Jack; a brother In-law, Roger Rheaume and his wife, Sandy, and many nieces and nephews.

Danny was a kind-hearted warm person who cared deeply about his family. He loved going to the movies, was an avid walker and enjoyed reading and playing cards, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his beloved grandchildren. He was a council member for TriLife Church and was always willing to help with transportation for the parishioners and anything else that the church needed.

Out of an abundance of caution, funeral services will be private. The MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. is honored to assist the family with arrangements. Memorial donations in Danny's memory can be sent to TriLife Church at 166 Holden St, Worcester, MA 01606

Danny was a great guy. I worked with him for many years at the TJ Maxx distribution center in Worcester. I didn´t have a car and usually took the bus home from work but there were times when I would ask Danny for a ride and he always gave me a ride if he could. As a supervisor he was always respectful and tried to make things fun. The company used to have him run the Associate of the Month program where he would always plan some kind of game for people to play. Besides all that, he used to play softball on Friday afternoons after work with a bunch of us guys from the company. Just a great guy to have around. The world is a better place because he was here. God bless his family and friends.

Very sorry for your loss. Danny was a heck of a guy. I worked with him at TJ Maxx for many years. He was a great supervisor. Always treated his people, including myself, with care and respect. He personally helped me out on many occasions when I needed a ride home from work. We also used to play softball after work on Friday afternoons. He was just a joy to be around.
