Sturbridge - Darlene O. (Vickers) Tilton, 69, of Sunset Drive, died Wednesday, April 5, in Harrington Hospital after an illness.
She leaves her husband of 49 years Richard Tilton, 2 sons Richard "Ricky" Tilton of Brimfield and Eric Tilton of Southbridge, her daughter Kelly Cox of Warren, 3 sisters Marilyn Wassmer of Sturbridge, Gail Boucher and her husband Robert of Sturbridge, Sandra Bastien of Sturbridge, 8 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Steven Tilton on Oct. 19, 1997 and her sister Sharon Lapensee.
She was born in Southbridge the daughter of Charles and Gertrude (Leivelle) Vickers and lived in the area all her life.
She worked Burger King and Mobil Gas in Sturbridge for many years.
Darlene enjoyed playing cards and spending time her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Her funeral will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, April 10, in the Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy St. Southbridge.
Calling hours are 2:00 to 4:00PM Sunday, April 9 in the funeral home.
