Dorothy M. (Grabowski) Croteau, 90

WORCESTER - Dorothy M. (Grabowski) Croteau, 90, passed away peacefully Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at the Lutheran Home. She was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Henry L. Croteau in 2003. She leaves a son, Leonard H. Croteau and his wife Janet of Wellfleet; a daughter, Patricia M. Buyniski and her husband Robert of Worcester; six grandchildren, Heather Fusco, Brian Buyniski, Jennifer Spottiswoode, Beth Donovan, Laura Clancey and Jerilyn LaBouef; 11 great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by a brother, Alec Grabowski and six sisters, Mary Urbanovich, Helen Hakala, Anne Lindberg, Catherine Socha, Stephanie Gustafson and Theresa Sears.

She was born in Jefferson, daughter of Matthew and Francis (Borack) Grabowski and attended Holden High School. Mrs. Croteau worked at Digital Equipment Corporation in Hudson for 25 years, retiring in 1990 and prior to that at Sprague Electric Company. She was a member of Christ the King Church and its Women's Guild and the Frohsinn Club. Mrs. Croteau enjoyed golfing, shopping, traveling and spending winters in Florida with her husband Henry. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. She truly cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Dorothy's family would like to acknowledge and thank the staff at the Lutheran Home for the wonderful and compassionate care they provided to her during her time spent there.

The funeral will be held on Friday, June 20 from CALLAHAN FAY & CASWELL FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle Street with a Mass at 11:00 AM at Christ the King Church, 1052 Pleasant Street. Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Visiting Hours will also be held on Friday, from 9:00-10:30 AM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Dorothy's name may be made to the Lutheran Rehabilitation Center-Activities Fund, 26 Harvard Street, Worcester, MA 01609.
