Edward Josephson, Jr. Obituary

Edward E. Josephson, Jr., 70 of Marlborough died suddenly on Friday, April 27, 2012. Born and raised in Marlborough he was the son of the late Edward E. Josephson, Sr. and the late Evelyn (Halliwill) Josephson St. John and the husband of Delma (Mulcahy) Josephson of Marlborough to whom he had been married for the past 49 years. A 1959 graduate of Marlborough Vocational High School, Mr. Josephson had been employed as a machinist for the Liberty Tool, Marlborough; Assabet Machine, Hudson and most recently Adcole, Marlborough from which he retired in 2009.
Mr. Josephson had coached Marlborough Youth Hockey players from the inception of the league, and umpired for Marlborough Little League. He also played softball for both Parkway and Central Auto teams. He was a former member of the Marlborough Fish & Game, kept active with home projects, caring for his yard and doing word puzzles. He will be greatly missed by his many longtime friends who socialized at the Diner in Marlborough.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his son, Michael Josephson and his wife Laurie of Fitchburg; his daughters, Karen McNally and her husband Patrick of Gloucester and Kristine Kestenbaum and her husband Matthew of Worcester; his brothers, Henry Josephson of Springfield and Arthur Josephson and his wife Marcia of Marlborough; his sisters, Priscilla Richardson and Janet Bernard both of Marlborough and Joan Rougeau of Vernon, VT and his grandchildren, Keegan and Kerry McNally and Kelsey Kestenbaum. He was also the brother of the late Paul Josephson.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at 11:00 a.m at the Immaculate Conception Church, 11 Prospect St., Marlborough. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Wilson St., Marlborough. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, May 1, from 4-8 p.m at the Slattery Funeral Home, Inc., 40 Pleasant St., Marlborough, MA. Donations may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.

Dear Mike and Family,

Please accept my condolences in regards to your Dads passing. I will never forget all the good times that we had Mike, growing up playing hockey and baseball as my Dad and your Dad were always with us and helping us develop our skills. Your Dad was a great, great man and he will always be with us Mike.

Lots of love and please do not hesitate to get a hold of me if you need anything.
