Elda Fantaroni Obituary

Elda M. (Baglioni) Fantaroni, 82, of 22 Lebanon Hill Rd., died Monday, Jan. 22nd, in St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester, after an illness.

She leaves her husband of 64 years, Vincent Fantaroni; two sons, Paul V. Fantaroni of Southbridge and Anthony V. Fantaroni and his wife, Suzanne of Southbridge; two daughters, Cynthia L. Hanscom and her husband, Dick of Waltham and Tina Champeau and her husband, Ronald of Southbridge; a brother, Augusto Baglioni of Franklin; a sister, Rita Beaulieu of Burlington, VT; six grandchildren, Anthony Fantaroni, Evan Fantaroni, Nicholas Champeau, Marco Fantaroni, Justin Champeau and Lauren Fantaroni; several nieces and nephews and dear cousins and friends.  She was predeceased by her grandson Scott Smith; her brother Fernando Baglioni and her sister Anna Baglioni.  She was born in Southbridge, the daughter of Virginio and Giovanna (Constanzi) Baglioni.

Mrs. Fantaroni was a member of St. Mary's Church in Southbridge and its St. Rita's Society and she was a long time member of the Harrington Memorial Hospital Auxiliary in Southbridge.  She enjoyed playing golf, watching the Red Sox and Patriots, and music.  She was a great cook and a wonderful mother and grandmother.

Her funeral will be held on Friday, Jan. 26th, from the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., Southbridge, with a Mass at 12:00 p.m in St. Mary's Church, 263 Hamilton St., Southbridge. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Southbridge.  Calling hours in the funeral home will be held on Friday, Jan. 26th, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m before the Mass.

In lieu of flowers donations maybe made in her memory to the Dr. Charles Boucher's Cardiology Fund, 165 Cambridge St., Suite 600, Boston, MA 02114 or to the Harrington Memorial Hospital Building Fund, 100 South St., Southbridge, MA 01550.
