Eli was a great person and Freind .I definitely remember him playing baseball at Lincoln Street School. As one other person said here he was awesome at that I remmber him hitting the ball far beyond where anyone could . Was amazing never saw anything like it . Walked home with him many times even from Burncoat in Teen years various activities . He ended up working with me later on into adult years for a bit . Just an all around great guy so sorry for your loss I hope his family is doing well. Eli you are missed greatly Thanks for the good Memories Buddy your legacy lives on in all of us..Derrick

I went to Jr. High with Chip, same home room. Later we worked together at Jim Foster & Co. Eli was a hard worker, reliable, a family man and always willing to lend a hand.

I have many fond memories of Eli; how sad that he died so young. He was a star student in the horticulture program at Burncoat High School. Eli was always smiling and eager to take on projects. My condolences to his family. Gail Hamm (former horticulture teacher at Burncoat H.S.)

Rest in Peace Chip! Went to school at Burncoat with Eli. And as a kid played at Tris Speaker with him. I’m also 42 . Every Time I have heard the song Centerfield by I think J Fohgarty for the past 32 years I thought of Chip. I’m not exaggerating. He was a baseball icon in my mind even though my baseball memory of him was far before we went to Burncoat. Mr and Mrs McGill were then President and Umpire (I think I’m thinking of the year if I’m right that Linda became President).
I’m very sorry for your whole Families loss. To his Kids I believe your Dad will always be watching over you from Heaven. He was a cool dude.
May God Allow Chip to send you all signs from above.
Rest In Peace Eli-
