Elizabeth "Betty" Connor, 84

Charlton - Elizabeth "Betty" (Burnett) Connor, 84, of Charlton, formerly of Worcester, died May 30, 2015, in the Overlook Masonic Health Center, Charlton, with her loving daughters by her side.

Born on January 13, 1931 in Glasgow, Scotland, of Simson and Ellen (Caughie) Burnett she moved to Worcester in 1968 with her husband and children and has lived in Independent Living at the Overlook Lifecare Community in Charlton for the last 9 years. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Hugh, in 2007 after almost 55 years of marriage and by her sister, Mary Davidson, and her brother, Andrew Burnett.

She leaves her daughters Mary Lowell of Shrewsbury and Margaret and her husband William "Bill" Stashluk of Nashua, NH., her beloved granddaughter Jennifer Jordan of Spring, TX., step-granddaughter Tamara and her husband Ross Morrow of Medford, MA., step-grandson Jeremy Stashluk and his wife Amanda of Bedford, NH., great-grandchildren Aidan, Logan, and Aislynn Jordan, and step-great-grandchildren Elsa and Bennett Morrow and Craig Stashluk. Also, her brother, Robert Burnett, of Worcester and sister-in-law, Fay Connor, of Scotland, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins both here and in Scotland.

She worked for Sprague Electric, Mostek, and Digital Equipment Corp. before retiring in 1992. She was a member of Daughters of Scotia Thistle Lodge #2, Worcester and a life member of Bathgate Chapter No. 45, Order of the Eastern Star, Bathgate, Scotland. She was a long time member of Park Congregational Church, where she was a Deacon, served on numerous committees, and was a co-founder and organizer of the Scottish Sunday service that was held annually at Park Church for 20 years.

She loved to travel with Hugh, and collected many friends along the way.

At her request, there will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be held in the James C. Nicoll Jr. Chapel at the Masonic Health Center, 88 Masonic Home Road, Charlton MA on Friday June 5, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers please make donations to American Parkinson Disease Association, 72 East Concord St, C3, Boston, MA 02118 or Alzheimer's Association, 480 Pleasant St., Watertown MA 02472.

Her daughters wish to thank the wonderful 4th floor staff of the Overlook Masonic Health Center for the kind and compassionate care that they gave Betty.
