Erik Nelson Obituary
Worcester - Erik Jon Nelson, 43, of Worcester died Friday, August 3rd. He leaves a daughter, Olivia M. Nelson of Dudley; his mother, Anne Marie (Mogelesky) Nelson of Worcester; his maternal grandmother, Margaret (Marcinov) Mogelesky of Hawley, PA and a sister, Katrina A. Lacher and her husband David of Edmond, OK. He was predeceased by an infant son, Noah Nelson.
He was born in Chapel Hill, NC, the son of the late Donald J. Nelson. Mr. Nelson was a master auto body technician for many years.
His memorial Mass is Wednesday, August 15th at 3:00 PM in Blessed Sacrament Church, 555 Pleasant Street. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105. O'CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue is directing arrangements.

Oh My Buddy...??... I Miss you so very much, some time has passed but the healing is slow. Taking any possible comfort in a spiritual realm, prayer in all the memory of such a wonderful friend does help but, missing our daily connection leaves a hole nearly impossible to fill...!! Anne-Marie, olivia, Katrina and family, words can't express how deeply heart broken DJ and I over the loss of Erik. he was a wonderful father, son brother, and friend, he had a heart of gold and such a gentle soul. Anne Marie, Olivia, Catrina,& Family, Words cant express how deeply heart broken DJ and I are over the loss of Erik. He was a wonderful Father, son, brother, and friend. He had a heart of GOLD and such a GENTLE soul. I have so many fond memories of him that i will cherish forever. I can still hear him playing the guitar for me,DJ,and Olivia under the stars.

Erik's mom and family I am so truly sorry for your loss my thoughts and prayers go out to you. I have known Erik for a very long time we have seen each other here and there through the years until we got back in touch last April and we remained intouch since. I am so very lucky to have spent some great days with Erik and to have met his beautiful daughter Oliva. Now i have a lot of new memories to hold in my heart forever. I loved him and miss him very much. He was truly a great friend.

Anne Marie and Katrina our hearts go out to you. We have wonderful memories of Erik, all the way back to Wexford Village. My first memory is that Erik was a fish! He was such an amazing swimmer before he even entered kindergarten! Next I remember "my mother had a sister" that he yelled to me as he was walking with his grandmother! He became such an artist when it came to auto body work. Our family's blue Volvo looked pristine after his handy work.
