Francis Rickertsen Obituary

Francis Frederick Rickertsen formerly of Worcester, Massachusetts died April 18, 2008. He was born on March 6, 1920 to Bernhard Friedrich and Sarah Francis (Houston) Rickertsen. On June 30, 1980 he married Janet Dow Kerr in Hamilton, Bermuda.

He was educated in the Worcester school system and graduated from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Mr. Rickertsen was the Vice President of Worcester Controls in West Boylston, MA. until his retirement in 1975. He then formed and was President of M.J. Controls, an import valve company, and Multitech Corporation, a manufacturer of industrial special alloy valves.

Francis is survived by his wife Janet Kerr Rickertsen, his children Bradford Paul Rickertsen of Florida, and Macy Ellen Hebert of Auburn, MA, his stepchildren Stephen Kerr of Wolfeboro, Nova Scotia, Dr. Bruce Kerr of Kennebunk, ME, and Craig Kerr of Providence Township, OH and 10 grandchildren.

At his request no funeral service is planned, a private family burial of his cremated remains will be at a later date. Memorial contributions are encouraged to SAVE THE CHILDREN at Attn. Donor Services, 54 Wilton Rd., Westport, CT. 06880. Arrangements by Peinert Funeral Home, Whitehouse, OH.

Dear Rickertsen Family:

All of us at Save the Children send condolences to Janet Kerr
Rickertsen upon the death of her husband, Frederick. He must have been a wonderful man who opened his heart to an extended family and made many contributions to the Worcester area of Massachusetts through his career. Save the Children is honored to have been chosen to receive memorial contributions in his name, and if you wish, we will advise you of gifts that arrive. Our condolences extend to the entire family of Mr. Rickertsen.
