Francoise Bauer Obituary

Francoise J. (Dallaire) Bauer, 81, of 3 Deernolm Street, North Grafton, died Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at the Rose Monahan Hospice Home, Worcester. She was the beloved wife of James Bauer.

She was born in St. Camille de Bellechasse, Canada on February 23, 1927, daughter of Rosaire and Evangeline (Bolduc) Dallaire. She was reared in St. George, P.Q. Canada moving to Quebec City at the age of 16 where she lived until she married her husband in 1959. Francoise leaves her husband James of 49 years, a daughter Kathleen Mura and her husband Robert of Princeton, MA, a son John and his wife Maria of Framingham, MA., four grandchildren, Alexander Mura, Julianna, Matthew and Lawson Bauer. She also leaves a sister Yolande, wife of Dr. Maurice Vigneault, a brother Jacques and his wife Giselle, a sister Monique, wife of Real Villeneuve and a brother Pierre and his wife Louise all of Quebec, Canada, and many nieces and nephews. A sister Louise, wife of Dr. Bernard Turcotte and two brothers, Jean-Louis and Raymond predeceased her.

She was educated in private schools in Quebec. Francoise was a former member of the Grafton and Westboro Woman's Club. An avid reader, she also loved arts and crafts as well as bowling and playing cards with her many friends.

The funeral is Tuesday, November 4, 2008 at St. Mary's Church, 17 Waterville Street, North Grafton, with a mass at 10:30 a.m. A calling hour is scheduled prior to the mass from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. at the church. Burial will be at Pine Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the VNA Care Network, 120 Thomas Street, Worcester, MA 01608. Roney Funeral Home, 152 Worcester Street, North Grafton is directing arrangements.

The family would also like to thank Dr. Saleem Khanani and his wonderful staff of the Oncology Department at St. Vincent Hospital for their kindness and support during her 8 year struggle with multiple myloma.
