George Frankian Obituary
WORCESTER - George K. Frankian, 91, passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2021 in Austin, TX.
His wife of 58 years, Mary (Naroian) Frankian died in 2012. He leaves two children, Charles Frankian, and his wife, Marnie, of Northborough; a daughter, Karen Aroian, and her husband, Mihran, of Austin, TX; four grandchildren, Hasmig and Ani Aroian and William and Samuel Frankian; many nieces and nephews. His four siblings, Catherine Bedigian, Jacob, Michael, and Harry Frankian predeceased him. He was born in Worcester, son of Giragos and Marriam (Danielian) Frankian, and graduated from Worcester Boys Trade School. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War.
In 1957, George received his plumber's journeymen license, joined Plumbers Local #4, and was a master plumber for many years. George served on many union committees and as financial secretary-treasurer.
George was an active member of Holy Trinity Armenian Apostolic Church, its men's club, and on many committees. He served on the Board of Trustees as treasurer, chair, and vice chair. He held memberships in the Grafton Hill American Legion, the Greendale Retired Men's Club, the Friends of Hope Cemetery, Atlestan Masonic Lodge, and Scottish Rite.
The family extends special thanks to beloved friends Deb Torti, Byron Morris, and Tommy Gisi, church friends, and his medical teams in Worcester and Austin.
The family will hold a private funeral service at George's church. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. A Zoom memorial service will be held Saturday, February 6, at 7pm EST. Family and friends may join this service by using this link: http://tiny.cc/GKF

Karen and Family,
Steven and I were happy have known your Dad, during the time we were your neighbors.
I enjoyed talking with him out on the driveway, after I came home from work, and he had been working on a project and was finishing up. He always seemed to make a direct connection when in conversation, and that says a lot about him.

Karin. An old and dear friend passed and old and dear memories come flooding through our minds. Our deepest sympathies to you and your family. We go back so many years. My sincere condolences to George's family. I am blessed to be among the many, many friends George had at the Highland House. He was such a wonderful person, so kind, so caring, and always ready to help in any way he could. We all missed him when he moved to Austin, but were so happy that he was able to spend his time there with Karen and her beautiful family. He will never be forgotten for his beautiful smile and his friendship. Thank you for sharing him with us. May he rest in peace with God and all his loved ones who welcomed him home.
