Whitinsville – Michele E. (Liberty) Brooks, 66, formerly of Worcester, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, March 27, 2026, following an illness.

She is survived by her two daughters, Melissa A. Brooks of Hebron, CT, and Lori M. Brooks of Putnam, CT; her grandson; her brother, Rene M. Liberty of Whitinsville; and her sister, Brenda L. Valliere of Burrillville, RI.

Born in Whitinsville on February 2, 1960, Michele was the daughter of the late George and Dorothy (Garand) Liberty. She was raised in Whitinsville and lived there for many years. She was a graduate of Northbridge High School, Class of 1978.

Michele was employed at Fenwal Corporation in Ashland and also devoted many years to caring for her home and family. She found joy in country line dancing, walking in the woods, and spending time by the ocean and in the mountains. Michele cherished time with her family and friends, was an avid reader, and was always willing to lend a helping hand to others. She had been a resident of Worcester for many years.

Her family extends their sincere gratitude to JHC Hospice for the exceptional care and compassion shown to Michele during her illness.

Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to JHC Hospice, 646 Salisbury Street, Worcester, MA 01609. Arrangements are under the care of Jackman Funeral Home, Whitinsville.
