Michael Rose Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Jackman Funeral Home - Whitinsville on Mar. 19, 2026.
Northbridge – Michael A. Rose, 68, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 13, 2026, after being stricken ill at his home in Upper Tract, West Virginia. Many hearts are so deeply broken.

He is survived by his beloved siblings Donna Rose and Paula Rose, both of Uxbridge, Thomas Rose of Upton, and Daniel Rose of Gardner. He also leaves many cherished nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, his dear aunt Genevieve Rose, as well as many cousins and friends, both old and new. He was predeceased by his great-nephew, Derick Major.

Born in Worcester on January 13, 1958, he was the son of the late Roy V. and Jane (Kalinowski) Rose and was raised in Northbridge. He was educated in the Northbridge public school system and went on to receive additional training and licensing as an oil burner technician, as well as in heavy equipment operation, hydraulics, and tractor-trailer operation.

An extremely intelligent and hardworking man, Michael worked most recently as a truck driver for many years with Ross Enterprises in Sutton until his retirement. Earlier in his career, he worked for Coz Chemical, Town of Northbridge Department of Public Works, and for GBI. Michael was experienced in all aspects of building and construction. He used these skills during the build of his first home. He had been passionate about creating since childhood and was an artist at heart, producing many beautiful works throughout his life. His dreams led him to the beauty of West Virginia, where he eagerly planned and began his new project, of building a home. He found great peace riding his Indian motorcycle through the hills and valleys, and from his land he took in countless painted sunrises and sunsets, along with beautiful mountain views. He loved nature, wildlife, animals of all kinds, and cherished the simple, sweet innocence of children.

In recent years, Michael had evolved with more passion on his long-standing beliefs. He was a man of strong faith without compromise and shared openly. He was so deeply committed to following the truth and God's path for his life. He was a sensitive man, protective, strong, open, genuine, kind, compassionate, and had the most giving heart. This drove him to always seek ways to help and serve others, family, friends, and even strangers.

Above all, he was fully dedicated and so loved by his family, beyond all measure. There are no words to accurately describe the absolute deep sadness and voids in the hearts of his family and many others. He was so full of life, and he will be terribly missed.

Michael's Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, March 23rd at 11 AM in St. Patrick's Church, 1 Cross St., Whitinsville, MA 01588. Burial will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Calling hours will be held in Jackman Funeral Home, 12 Spring St., Whitinsville, on Sunday, March 22nd, from 4 to 7 PM, with a prayer service at 6:30 PM.
