I extend my sincere sympathy to the family of Father George and pray he has been rewarded with peace eternal. As classmates at St. John's and Holy Cross I witnessed his talents, compassion and sacrifices which were confirmed in a remarkable vocational life of serving others. We celebrate his life and shed a tear upon his passing.

Father Hill was truly a gifted priest. I never met anyone like him. I played basketball, golf, hockey, and went mountain climbing with him during his residence at Saint Jude in Leicester, MA. He was an excellent all around athlete. The Hill Family should be very proud of his many great personal qualities and achievements throughout his life.

To the Hill Family -
Please accept my sincere condolences on the loss of Father Hill. He and my brother Jeff went to Blessed Sacrament and Saint John's together and remained friends. George was the officiant at my wedding and made it special. Elizabeth (Donohue) Hill was my mother Bette (Mac Donald) Murley's first cousin from the Donohue side. Again I am so sorry for your loss of this great man. May the perpetual light shine upon him. May God bless.

Father Hill came to St. Margaret Mary's Church on Alvarado Ave in Worcester around 1969-1970? The Bruins were it, and he was a hockey player. He rented the ice for us at the new Lake Ave rink, and played hockey with us, at 3 A.M.! He played hockey with us on "the lake", Lake Quinsigamond, when it was frozen. He organized the first St. Margaret Mary's Catholic Youth Council, (CYC) and somehow got me roped into being President. He fended off the conspiracy when I won the raffle for Bruins tickets through the CYC. I'll never forget that game against with the Bobby Orr/Phil Esposito/Gerry Cheevers Bruins versus the Bobby Hull/ Stan Mikita/ Tony Esposito Chicago Blackhawks! I could go on, but I'll say this: Father George Hill had a profound influence on my life, and many others, from those teen-age years until today in our old Lake View neighborhood. My condolences and prayers go out to his family, and his parishioners. We were all better off with you in our lives! God bless you and keep you! Amen.
Sincerely,
John F. Scotti
