Irene Goldstein Obituary

Irene B. (Chase) Goldstein, 81, of 245 May St., died at her residence after an illness on Thursday, Oct. 19th.

She leaves her husband of 57 years, Simon Goldstein; two sons, Howard Goldstein and his wife Marion of Superior, Colorado and Carl Goldstein and his wife Linda of Worcester; two daughters, Susan wife of Billy Feinberg of Natick and Amy wife of Wayne Tuiskula of Cherry Valley; ten grandchildren, Caryn Miller, Rachel Rubin, Marissa Goldstein, Matthew Goldstein, Justin Feinberg, Michael Goldstein, Joseph Goldstein, David Goldstein, Stephanie Feinberg and Lauren Tuiskula; one great-grandson, Damon Rubin. She was predeceased by her sister Mollie Rosenbaum.

She was blessed with great friends and family.

She was a bookkeeper for 60 years, most recently for the Bancroft School of Massage Therapy and Minuteman Press.

She was born in Worcester, a daughter of Morris and Rebecca (Gottlieb) Chase and was a lifelong resident.

She was a member of Temple Emanuel, a life member of The Ladies Auxiliary of the Jewish Healthcare Center and was past president of Granite St. School's Mother's Club.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, TODAY, FRIDAY, OCTOBER 20TH in Perlman Funeral Home, 1026 Main St. Burial will be in Holy Society Cemetery in Leicester.

Irene believed that research is needed to cure diseases. At her request please omit flowers and that memorial contributions be made to Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 10 Brookline Place West, 6th floor, Brookline, MA 02445.

Memorial observance will be held through Monday Evening, Oct. 23rd at her residence, 245 May St.
