Jacqueline Bruno Obituary

Jacqueline M. (Parker) Bruno, 80, died Friday at the Milford Whitinsville Regional Medical Center after being stricken ill at her home. She was the wife of 59 years of Donald S. Bruno.

Born in Quincy, she lived several years in Southboro before moving to Marlborough for 49 years. She lived the last 10 years in Uxbridge. Jackie graduated from Peters High School in Southborough in 1947, attended Newton-Wellesley Hospital School of Nursing and was a graduate of Northeastern University/Marlborough Hospital Co-operative Radiology Program. She worked as a registered radiology technician for many years, was office manager for Gordon Bennett Orthodontics of Marlborough for over 20 years and Marlborough Orthopaedics for 10 years.

Besides her husband, she leaves a son, Mark D. Bruno and his wife Elaine of Dover Plains, N.Y; 2 daughters, Lynn Ann Bruno and her partner Craig Scholpp of East Kingston N.H. and Donna Bruno of Worcester: 4 grandchildren, Brittany E. Tucker of Worcester, Morgan C. and Emily M. Bruno of Dover Plains, N.Y. and M. Daniel Bruno, Jr. and his wife EvelynAnn and their son Cayden Joseph of Belle Chasse, LA; one sister, Barbara P. Hildreth of Marlborough and one brother, Ralph G. Parker of Rindge, N.H.. She was active in the former Dukes of Marlborough serving many years as uniform manager. She was an avid reader, bird-watcher and gardener.

Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Matthias Church, Hemenway St., Marlborough. Burial will be in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Visiting hours at William R. Short and Son Funeral Home, 95 West Main St., Marlborough will be on Tuesday from 4-7 p.m.. Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to: The M.S.P.C.A-Angell Headquarters, 350 So.
