Phaneuf-O'Brien
Worcester - James R. "Borris" Phaneuf-O'Brien, 32, of Worcester, passed away on Thursday, November 13, 2014.
James is survived by his son, Seth D. O'Brien, age 12, of Worcester; the love of his life, Erica Kerswell; his parents, Debra J. O'Brien and David W. Phaneuf, all of Worcester; a brother, David W. Phaneuf of Rochdale; two sisters, Amy L. Camejo and her husband Cesar, and Amanda M. Phaneuf all of Worcester; a niece, Olivia Phaneuf; a person close to his heart, Trent; his maternal grandparents, James R. and Madline (Pratt) O'Brien of Leicester; his beloved dog, Dozer; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. James was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Robert and Alice Phaneuf.
He worked as a delivery driver for Better Electric Company in Worcester. James loved his family and his son was the light of his life. He was a motorcycle enthusiast, purchasing his first motorcycle at the tender age of seven; and was extremely happy participating in any outdoor activity, such as fishing, hiking or motorcycle riding. James was a loving person, who would take the shirt off his back for you, because he cared.
Calling Hours will be held on Thursday, November 20 from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester, followed by a Prayer Service at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home.

You were always nice to me, however brief our encounters, Jim. I'm shocked and saddened at the news. The pictures here reflect very much the man I knew, although admittedly we didn't see each other very much the times we did he was always very kind and joyful. james as i sit here after ur services last night i'm still hurting so much an cant believe this has happen to us u were to young to be gone already . my heart aches for erica and seth at this time and ur father and brother and sisters . All ur friends loved u so much . they all stood at the casket in a group to say good bye to u it was heart warming to this . At lot of people came to say good bye . you were loved by many people . some of your friends stood up to tell the family about good times they had with u . JAMES I WILL NEVER FORGET YOU EVER . Debbie, David, Seth and the rest of the family... I am so sorry for your loss, we may have went our seperate ways as we grew older but Lewis St. was our life. We learned so much from each other that I am sure we all used through out our lives! We were all a family in the old neighborhood.
