James Ryan Obituary
WORCESTER - James F. Ryan, 63, of Worcester, died Monday, June 28, 2021 at St. Vincent Hospital after an illness.
Jim leaves his wife of 40 years, Donna M. (Woods) Ryan; two daughters, Jennifer A. Dansereau, her husband Tobe, and their daughters Kendra and McKenzie of Nevada, and Kimberly A. Ryan and her daughter Gianna K. McIntyre of Worcester; a son Shawn M. Ryan of Worcester; two brothers, Edward E. Ryan III of Auburn, and Michael S. Ryan and his wife Shawn of Millbury; two sisters, Patricia A. Taft and her husband Richard of Dennis Port, and Kelley A. Ryan of Auburn; a brother-in-law Russell A. Woods of Worcester; and many nieces and nephews.
Jim was born in Worcester son of the late Edward E. Ryan Jr. and Betty Ann (Pietro) Ryan. He grew up on Grafton Hill and lived his entire life in Worcester. He was a graduate of St. Peter-Marian High School.
Jim loved his 17 years as a firefighter in the Worcester Fire Department before retiring. For most of his career, he was assigned to Engine 3 at Department Headquarters on Grove Street.
Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He cherished spending time with his granddaughter "Pookie". He was a proud supporter of President Trump.
Funeral arrangements and burial in Rural Cemetery, Worcester, will be private.
The Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., Worcester, is directing the arrangements.
