Jeannette M. Berthelette, 88

UXBRIDGE - Jeannette M. Berthelette, 88, a longtime resident of Uxbridge, MA, the eldest daughter of Yvonne Isabelle and F. Albert Pouliot, and wife of the predeceased Alphonse "Chief" Berthelette, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 20, 2021. Her final days were spent at her home and filled with an outpouring of love from family and friends.

Jeannette attended Good Shepherd School and graduated from Northbridge High School with the class of 1951. She spent as much time as she could with friends at parties, dances, and trips to the drive-in. She worked many years at Whitin Machine Works as a courier, a job she would recall with pride and dozens of stories. She worked 30+ years for Cove Insurance in Uxbridge as an Auto Insurance Customer Service Rep. where she was beloved by her coworkers.

A woman of great faith, she was a parishioner of Good Shepherd, St. Augustine's, and St. Mary's churches. When she was young, she was also a member of the Children of Mary and a CCD teacher whose lessons were remembered fondly by her students.

She was at her happiest surrounded by family. Her home was host for every Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter, New Year's, Memorial Day, and every Sunday for lunch in between. She lived a mother and grandmother's dream – watching her family grow up together in front of her eyes.

She is survived, missed, and loved by that family. Her numerous nieces and nephews; her younger sister Lucia; her seven children: Liz Wondolowski and her husband Bob, Frank Berthelette and his wife Trish, Peter Berthelette, Jim Berthelette and his wife Denise, John Berthelette and his wife Carol, Jeanne Lovett, and Anne Noel and her husband Mike; and her adored grandchildren: Michael, Christopher and his wife Carissa, Nicholas, Alyssa, Patrick, Pauly, Rob, Morgan, and Paul.

The family would like to extend their deepest thanks to the staffs of Milford Hospital; UMass Medical Center; Salmon VNA & Hospice; and the EMTs and paramedics of the Uxbridge Fire Department for their compassionate care.

Her funeral will be held on Thurs. June 24th with a mass at 11 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, 77 Mendon St. Uxbridge. Her burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Calling hours will be held at Tancrell-Jackman Funeral Home, 35 Snowling Rd., Uxbridge prior to mass from 9:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
